Join the Cairns Surf Life Saving Club
Welcome to the Cairns Surf Life Saving Club – it’s great that you’d like to get involved in Surf Life Saving, the largest and most iconic voluntary workforce on the Australian coast.
New Members if you didn’t make it to sign on day, please don’t worry, you can give the office a call 07 4059 1263 | firstname.lastname@example.org to answer any questions you may have about joining.
Once you know for sure you wish to join, the below instructions will help you on your way.
Click on the below link
Select Surf Life Saving Club, in the first drop down box select Cairns SLSC. Fill out the remainder of this form with your basic information then click Continue.
You will then need to complete the full membership application form. This form includes personal information (email address, driver’s license number, clothing sizes etc), medical information, emergency contacts and background information.
Once your application has been submitted you will see a confirmation window which includes your unique tracking ID. You will be sent this information by email, along with a link which you can use to check on the progress of your application.
You need to create a Members Portal Account for each person joining. Cairns SLSC requires new members to sign up online using the SLSA Members Portal system. Once this is done, you can manage your own and your families membership in the future.
To get started, click here to create a Members Portal Account. Make sure you are on ‘Create Account’ and not ‘Login’.
Enter the information as requested. This matches up to the data input when you joined the club, so make sure you enter the exact information.
Enter either mobile number or email address to receive an Activation Code.
Enter the Activation Code. This will then direct you to your members portal page.
Repeat this for each member of your family joining.
Once you have accessed the Portal click on the fourth tab ‘LIFESAVING ONLINE’ to see your membership information. Most of the membership functions required are found under this tab.
If you are joining as a family, once you all have a Portal account, you can create a family group under “My Family” which will make renewing in the future much simpler.
If you wish to join up another person or family member, click on the link at the bottom of the confirmation screen. You will be redirected back to the application form for the next person, with some information saved.
Note: When a junior member joins, they must have a parent join with them – This is for all junior age groups; Greencaps through to U14s. The parent member (associate) member will allow the member to obtain any awards. This also includes their membership to the Supporters Club
Club Membership fees for 2024 are as follows:
- Junior Member (Ages 5 – 13) $100
- Parent Member (Associate) $90
- Award Member $90
- Active Junior (completed less than 25 patrol hours) $90 (completed 25 or more patrol hours) $0
- Active Senior (completed less than 25 patrol hours) $90 (completed 25 or more patrol hours) $0
- Family Membership $350
